Blur 樂隊成立於 80 年代末，原名 Seymour，「Seymour」一詞出自美國作家大衛·塞林格的小說，後經唱片公司建議改為 Blur。1995 年的專輯《Parklife》多首曲目均為排行榜冠軍單曲，1997 年的同名專輯《Blur》則放下典型的英倫風格進行着更為另類的探索。Blur 伴隨九十年代 Brit-Pop 的浪潮，與 Oasis 等同時期的英倫搖滾樂隊一起成長發展，影響了無數英國乃至全世界的搖滾青年。經過解散和重組的風波後，他們於 2008 年正式重組、再次出發，繼續給樂迷以更多驚喜。
